Hope you're had a good weekend?
Research shows that long term sitting down is hugely detrimental to our body.
Aches and pains, weight gain, muscles and joints stiffening up.
That’s without the role that inactivity plays on your heart, lungs, cognitive function and a variety of other health markers.
Or decreasing energy levels, lethargy, and low mood.
We are designed to move, and we must move our body every single day.
What we call “the daily sweat” in my MAPPS programmes.
As we age Father Time is also working against us.
So it’s vital we do this each and every day.
Push, pull, bend, squat, sprint, twist, lunge, as well as jump, run, punch and kick.
All of this helps our muscles stay active, our ligaments and tendons strong whilst being mobile, keeps our heart and lungs functioning well, whilst being able to perform the tasks we are required to do each day.
We must focus each day on building a body (and mind) that is fit for purpose.
