With last week being a national day or mourning I made the conscious
decision not to do my usual 'Monday Mindset' email.
Whether you are a royalist or not, some things are simply about respect.
On that, it got me thinking about that specific word, or subject for that matter.
It's something that many of
us desire from others, but how often do we treat ourselves with respect?
And what does that actually look like?
Now I say this all the time - I get that we have jobs, careers, family, and many other things that require a large amount of our time.
But creating
healthy boundaries......
Making time for ourselves to get fitter and healthier......
Switching off and having some time for our hobbies......
Some time for our significant other (if we have one)......
Learning how and when to say 'NO' to things that simply don't suit or serve us...
(That's a huge one - read it again).
Are all part of having self respect.
And if we want others to respect us, then we must respect ourselves by doing what is right for us sometimes.
Is amazing to give back in life,
to help, support and empower others.
But in order to do that, every now and then you must also put yourself first - and that is absolutely fine!
Attack the week!
