Happy Monday and hope you had a great weekend?
It’s time for some honest reflection (what’s known as the mirror test).
Your weekends are crucial.
They can either recharge, refuel and ready you for the
week ahead.
Or they can ruin you.
The choice is yours, and the choices you make are crucial.
It
really is that simple.
Remember my saying that “short term pain = long term pleasure”.
Well this 100% applies to your weekends.
Because this is a great time to challenge yourself, get a sweat on and get active.
Now I’m not saying that you can’t enjoy a
tipple or two (I certainly do), especially with xmas approaching.
But there is ZERO CORRELATION between high volumes of alcohol intake and high performance.
So instead of spending weekends in the pub or drinking too much at home…..
Why not get outside for a walk or a bike ride, get to the gym, or join a local club and relive your sporting youth?
Your brain will always want to take the easy path.
But if you ignore the path of comfort, and go and get it done.
I promise that your mind and body will thank you for it.
I also promise you that when it’s done, you’ve had your shower and then you have that ice cold beer or glass of wine with your Sunday dinner.
It will taste much better.
Attack the week.
