Here are 3 lessons from Tyson Fury.
1. TALENT ISN'T ENOUGH. - At almost 6'10, 280lbs Tyson is absolutely huge yet has footwork, movement and skill that no other heavyweight on the planet can come even close to. He's an absolute natural, and a born fighter and I'm certain that even without training would be up there amongst the best. However, he trains hard, and when in the gym he gives everything to improve the natural talent and skills he was blessed with.
2. ONE SIZE DOESN'T FIT ALL. - Tyson's methods are unique, different, and some of the things he does I've never seen before. They are certainly not what you would find in a manual. They may not work for other fighters, but they work for him, and he's the best heavyweight in the world. In sport, results is all that matters and he is a winner.
3. MINDSET MATTERS MOST. - As the old saying goes, if you're healthy, you're wealthy. This is certainly true with your mental health. Tyson has had his demons, has been open about them, and has conquered them. Whilst he may not always be everybody's cup of tea, I believe he is has been an inspiration for so many along the way. What Tyson does now more than ever is he protects and looks after his physical and mental health as a priority.
