Loving yourself is often seen as a negative thing.
But I’m here today to tell you that’s
complete B.S.
You absolutely should.
Even if you are a twin.
You are wonderfully unique.
And there is nobody in the world quite like you.
Now before this post gets too mushy….
And you wonder if this is being written by somebody else!!!!
The point of today is to talk about a form of self-love.
And that is
DISCIPLINE.
You see I recently read the statement below in The Mind Journal and it absolutely blew my mind:-
“Nobody wants to tell you why discipline is so important.
Discipline is the strongest form of self-love.
It is ignoring current pleasures for bigger rewards to
come.
It’s loving yourself enough to give yourself everything you’ve ever wanted”.
And that statement has left a lasting mark in my mindset, and more importantly the choices I make each and every day.
So today I’m asking you the question (and challenging you).
Do you love yourself enough to work on yourself?
To put yourself
first.
To focus on your health.
To train hard.
To eat well.
To face tough situations head on.
To have courageous conversations.
To ignore short term pleasure, and instead seek out short term pain.
Because EVERYTHING in life right now is moving you towards a life of comfort.
And that my friends will lead you to a place of stress,
unhappiness, low self-esteem, and poor health.
But not me.
I'm embracing the short term pain for long term please.
And you must do the same.
I’m here today to tell you to zip your coat up.
Get off your @rse.
Do the work.
And embrace the toughness of discipline.
You will be glad you did.
Attack the
week!
