For every year that you age over 30.
You lose 1% of your muscle mass.
(Read that again).
Known in the science as ‘Sarcopenia’, this loss of muscle means an increase in body fat, poor posture, aches, pains, increased injuries, and a decrease in overall health and performance across the board.
Add in the fact that a few body
parts here and there might start to head south, and not quite work as they should (!!!), and it makes for bleak reading.
There is however a simple solution.
And that my friends – is weight training.
Getting stronger conquers all of this.
And you should absolutely embrace weight training into your life.
3 x per week.
Anywhere between 45 – 90 mins sessions.
The
“type” of weight training you should do, well to begin with, simply doesn’t matter.
Find somebody who knows what they’re doing to show you and keep you safe.
Then just get it done.
Your mind and body will thank you for it.
