So I completed the 'Tougher' challenge for Walking With The Wounded last week.
17.2 miles in the lake district, and it's fair to say the challenge 100% lived up to its name.
Some key lessons for me were:-
- Preparation is key.
- The right kit is crucial.
- Having great team
mates really helps.
- Remembering why you're doing it drives you forwards.
- Reframing the pain is a mindset hack, because it's a privilege to be able bodied enough to attempt these challenges.
As you may or may not know, I encourage all my clients in MAPPS programmes to seek out a challenge to work towards.
With that in mind, I'd highly recommend this challenge to you. It's really well organised, and a great day.
