Most people drift.
The weeks and months simply pass them by.
They talk about goals, routines, and motivation, but underneath it all, they’re living by someone else’s rules.
Somebody else’s expectations in their job.
Being dragged into their mates’ habits on a weekend.
Going to the gym and doing whatever training is currently trending this
week.
Then they wonder why they feel lost.
Rudderless.
Maybe even a loss of identity.
You see, here’s the hard truth.
Until you write your own personal code, you’ll always be pulled around by everyone else’s.
That’s because your code is your compass.
It’s your boundaries, your rules, your values.
It’s where you say to the world:
This is who I am, this is what I stand for, this is what I do, and this is what I don’t tolerate, either from others or from myself.
When you’ve got that, you don’t need endless motivation.
You don’t need to chase every new hack or habit.
Because your personal code holds firm.
Do I quit or keep going?
Do I speak up or stay silent?
Do I take short term
pleasure or short-term pain?
Your code answers every question before it’s even asked.
And it answers with decisive action.
Most people never take the time to define their personal code.
Because it takes effort.
Looking inwards.
Sometimes, facing some difficult truths.
Instead, they react, copy, or drift.
But high performers…..
They’ve written it
down.
And they live it daily.
Your code won’t be perfect, and it’ll evolve as you go.
But without it, you’re just guessing.
So, my advice today….
Write it.
Live it.
Reflect and update your personal code when life throws those difficult moments at you.
Because the world doesn’t need more people following other people’s lies online.
It needs more people following
their personal code.
Attack the week.
