I had some feedback from someone who said they like my weekly Lonely
Walk Letters, but they don’t read them because they’re “too long”.
Now I’m always open to feedback.
Even when I didn’t ask for it.
Especially when I don’t like it.
But on this one, I’m pushing back.
Because I don’t believe they didn’t read it because it
was too long.
Or because they were too busy.
And if that’s you reading this…..
I don’t believe it from you either.
You didn’t read it because it asked you to slow down.
To sit still for a few minutes.
And right now, you’ve got no tolerance for that.
This isn’t about time.
It’s about being overstimulated.
You’re used to noise.
//
Scrolling
// Short clips
// Constant emails
So the moment something needs a bit of focus…..
You check out.
Not because you can’t do it.
Because it feels uncomfortable.
Too slow.
A bit boring.
That’s the truth.
And it shows up elsewhere as well.
// You rush your training
// You avoid proper thinking
// You stay busy, but don’t move
forward
You think you’re on it.
But you’re scattered.
And if you can’t sit with something for 5–10 minutes…..
You’re not building anything.
Because anything that matters takes depth.
And depth means staying with it when it’s quiet.
Most people have lost that.
So here’s your check this week.
Every day:
// Sit still for 10 minutes
// No
phone
// No music
// No distractions
Just you.
Notice how quickly you want to reach for something.
That’s the problem.
